The Pagani Automobili S.p.A is an Italian automobile manufacturing company founded by Mr. Horacio Pagani in the year 1992. So the company was named after the founder, who is currently working as the CEO cum president of the company. The Pagani automaker is considered as the sports cars designing and manufacturing company, while the carbon fibred cars are also added to their list off-late. The headquarters of the company are situated at Modena, Italy. The initial stage of the company was bound with the Lamborghini Company for the restyling of its models. But, no sooner did Pagani start to manufacture its own car models, and since then it has not looked back. In 1980s, the company offered the C8 project car named as the Fangio F1. However, the company headquarters were established in the year 1991 to meet the company requirements of production. The company started to take the V12 engines from the Mercedes-Benz company in 1994. And the first car Zonda C12 hit the market soon. The company had also announced the progress of the company in 2005. It roared to hit the market in next three years with the triple times production of the company in that time. The September of 2007 was a great month for the Pagani, as the company entered in to the new niche of the super cars as the Zonda F Clubsport hit the racing arena. The Zonda model was equipped with the advanced features such as the impressive M120 V12 engine, 7.3 L capacity engine instead of its conventional 6.0 L engine. The initial Zonda models were C12 type with the evolution of the engine from 6.0 L to 7.0 L and then to 7.3 L engine. The C12 s Roadster, C12 S Monza and Zonda GR were also some notable cars from the Pagani. But the super car models from the Pagani group soon lost popularity due to the introduction of the Mercedes-Benz models. Recently, the Pagani has announced to offer its new model car, Cinque in the year 2009. The new 2009 model will be equipped with the features of the Zonda model as well as the feature of the new generation V12 Mercedes-Benz engine type with the aerodynamics to make render even faster speeds. The Pagani took this decision to increase the sale and production of the car models giving good competition to its rival V-12 DOHC engine powered Mercedes-Benz cars.
