Infiniti is a special wing of Nissan, dedicated for the production of luxurious cars. The sales of these cars formally started in the year 1989, on November 8, to be precise. It started in the North American nation, and then the sales of the cars also developed in the nations Ukraine, China, Switzerland, Taiwan, Russia, Middle East, Mexico and South Korea. Present day Infiniti has their dealings in 15 countries with 230 dealers. In the autumn season of the year 2008 the official launch of Infiniti was planned. It took two years to arrange the operations of Infiniti to bring the car to Europe. Engine of the car is laid behind the fore wheels of the car. Due to this placement of the engine the weight distribution of the car is leveled. It is done to improve the barking of the car, handling and acceleration. Reduction of moment of inertia is also done due to this. This won’t happen to the SUV which is made based on the platform of Nissan F-alpha. The model name of the Infiniti car represents whether it is a Coupe or Sedan or SUV and also the number which is included in the model number tells us the displacement of the engine. If the name has a single letter it represents either a Coupe or a Sedan. If there are two letters the car is SUV. In the year 1989 in United States the Infinity brand was brought out. The main purpose in launching Infiniti in US is to sell luxurious vehicles in US. To compete with Infiniti in US Japanese competitors of Infiniti, Honda and Toyota entered into US with their luxurious cars. Toyota released Lexus where Honda released Acura in United States. In the year 1997 Infiniti modified a car of Nissan and released with the name QX4. By the end of 1990s Infiniti got lesser sales than Acura and Lexus. This is because of the financial situation of Nissan. By the year 2000 Infiniti was almost extinct. By the year 2010, Infiniti is planning to release a car with the name Infiniti M with 330 horse power.
