Dodge Caliber

Produced by Chrysler, this compact car is produced by the Dodge division, replacing the Neon as a 2007 model year vehicle. This 5 door hatchback, almost the same size as the Neon, was first unveiled at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. The Caliber was one of Dodges first modern vehicles for sale in Europe, Aisa and Australia and debued in the United States on January 10, 2006 at the North American International Auto Show. Originally priced at $13,985, it features a continuously variable transmission and a four cylinder 1.8-2.4 L GEMA gasoline engine. It also features an optional electronically controlled all wheel drive system for optimum torque between 25 and 65 mph for greater handling. The car is built in Illinois at the Belvidere Assembly plant, where the Neon was orignially produced.
