Chevrolet Pictures and Wallpapers

Chevrolet Founded by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant in the year 1911, Chevrolet is a major division of General Motors. Headquartered at Detroit, Michigan Chevrolet is famous as Chevy in short, and brings about eighteen vehicles in the market, along with their modified versions. The company manufactures cars, CUV, trucks, as well as SUV; basically everything right from subcompact cars down to the medium-duty commercial trucks. Silverado pickup happens to be the top seller of the brand in USA, and Chevrolet cars offer impeccable performance, fuel economy as well as pricing, and turn out to be the leading division of GM in all the aspects. The official logo of the brand has undergone several changes, as initially it was nothing more than a bowtie, which is has been supposedly designed from an interesting wallpaper design, spotted by Durant in a French hotel. The other reports suggest that their old logo resembled the logo for Coalettes. Within 5 years of operation, Chevrolet became profitable enough so that Durant could acquire the majority of GM’s shares. In the year 1917, Chevrolet merged with GM, while Durant became the president. However, Chevrolet remained as a separate division, and in 1918, Chevrolet came out with an impressive four-passenger roadster Model D, which was powered by the V8 engine. Then they also featured a 5-passenger touring model as well. The vehicles came with powerful 26 kW engines, three-speed transmissions, equipped with Zenith carburettors. Looking at the famous Chevy models, the large & luxurious Impala launched in the year 1958 always comes on top of the list. Chevy also brought about several changes in the automobile industry as well. They introduced the first fuel injected engine in 1957, and the brand created an amazing stronghold in the American market during the late 1950s and throughout the 1960s. As a matter of fact, it has been reported that Chevrolet happened to be one out of every ten cars sold in the United States during the year 1963. The trend continued almost throughout the 1960s. Later on, the brand spread its popularity globally, and today even in the Asian subcontinent, they’re doing pretty well with popular models like the Chevrolet Aveo, Optra, and Spark. Though, they have not been able to launch many of the models in the Asian market, Chevrolet has been a powerful automotive brand throughout the US as well as European continent.
